If you would like to find out more about Forecast as a platform for pioneering ideas, have a look at our website from the first edition (2015/16). The blog entries provide a chronological overview of how Forecast works, from our call for proposals and selection of ideas to realizing these ideas in mentor/mentee duos and presenting them at the Forecast Forum and Festival at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin.
On the site, you can discover the ideas of the 30 participants chosen from 360 applicants from around the world to attend the Forecast Forum. The six mentees are also introduced, along with the project proposals that the mentors selected for further development.

A series of conversations with the mentor/mentee pairs shows how their six-month collaboration and exchange of knowledge shaped each project. During this time, each of the six proposals evolved from an idea to a prototype, which the mentees ultimately presented to a larger audience for discussion at the Forecast Festival.

The first edition shows that seeking out, discussing, and implementing groundbreaking ideas is at the heart of Forecast. You can learn about this and much more in the first Forecast publication (PDF).
