Forecast Responds to the Current Crisis

Candidates to Be Announced on April 30

In these difficult times, as many in the world’s creative community are already impacted by the financial implications of the global spread of the coronavirus, Forecast continues its commitment to empowering creative practitioners and cultural workers of all disciplines by providing access to professional and financial support.

Forecast’s fifth edition is moving forward, albeit with changes  concerning events that involve travel and public gatherings, which may not be possible to hold as planned. Our aim is to redistribute the program’s resources to provide access to Forecast’s network of knowledge transfer and material aid in more decentralized ways than before.

In the coming days, we will share the details of these structural adjustments, as well as the three selected candidates in each category. Due to the restructuring, the selection of candidates in Forecast's fifth edition will be made public on April 30, 2020—one week later than originally planned.

Sadly, due to the cancellation of the fourth Forecast Festival earlier this month, the six mentees in Forecast’s fourth edition were not able to share their projects with the public. We will also make an announcement shortly regarding alternatives to the canceled festival.

Stay connected, and stay healthy.
