✨FORECAST FESTIVAL✨

The ninth edition of Forecast culminates in an action-packed Festival on March 14–15, at Radialsystem.

Following a monthslong collaboration with their mentors, six creative practitioners unveil their productions at Radialsystem, Berlin. The mentors will also present their own work, offering insights into the topics that inspire and move them.

Experience performances, installations, screenings, and talks by: choreographers Alice Ripoll (mentor) and Mehdi Dahkan (mentee); documentary filmmaker Tomer Heymann (mentor) and filmmaker Hao Zhou (mentee); photographer Lieko Shiga (mentor) and filmmaker and artist Mei Liu (mentee); artist Theo Eshetu (mentor) and theatermaker Trà Nguyễn (mentee); designers Fiona Raby (mentor) and Johanna Seelemann (mentee); voice artist, composer, and performer Ute Wassermann (mentor) and artist Camil Navarro (mentee).

Apply for a chance to work with Sote as your mentor!

Ata Ebtekar, better known as Sote, is an Iranian-American electronic music composer and sound artist. Ebtekar is looking for applicants whose work is based on non-formulaic electronic and electro-acoustic music. He is especially interested in projects with emphasis on sound synthesis as part of the musical composition and vice versa, using musical structures and rhythmic patterns as part of sound design. “Avoiding formulas and conventions has always been at the forefront of my artistic practice, says Ebtekar. “I would like to help you express your wild imagination.”

As a mentor, he would like to guide the mentee in their process of realizing a strong and magical sonic landscape that could eventually become a collection of individual compositions or a single long piece, which could be performed live or presented as an installation.
